Staff Accountant

Summary: The Staff Accountant will support our financial team by managing daily accounting tasks with a focus on Accounts Payable. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and meticulous attention to detail.

Day Shift Supply Driver

1) Performs a forklift service inspection before operating the forklift.

2) Properly operates forklift and other handling equipment to safely move materials for production.

3) Maintains an adequate supply of raw product to the dumper at all times.

4) Keeps an accurate record of products taken from the Green Sheet during shift and checks that record with QC before leaving.

5) Consumes and Outputs accurately in Business Central; checks records with the supervisor before leaving at end of shift.

6) Use a scanner to track product movement into and out of production.

7) Keeps an adequate supply of raw and packaging materials on the production floor during production.

8) Supplies for the following shift to start but returns excess as needed.

9) Empties garbage dumpster into drop box as needed.

10) Puts all frozen product in the Blast Cell at end of shift, and/or tags remaining frozen product for return to freezer

11) Must have a working knowledge of business math and English.

Production Supervisor

Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing processes within Oregon Fruit’s facility. The Production Supervisor will supervise and guide production workers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and according to schedule.

Duties

  1. Assess crewing needs and address crewing and staffing gaps.
  2. Provide leadership by developing people and teams, leveraging effective coaching and recognition.
  3. Ensure the team has all the assets and resources needed to execute the schedule – escalate support needed to management team.
  4. Execute the shift production plan by leveraging a Continuous Improvement mindset and approach.
  5. Lead and partner with project managers on projects at the shift level.

Maintenance Mechanic

The Maintenance Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment within the Oregon Fruit facility. The responsibilities will include diagnosing mechanical issues, conducting routine maintenance tasks, and performing repairs to minimize downtime. With a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of mechanical systems, the Maintenance Mechanic will troubleshoot problems efficiently and implement preventative measures to uphold safety standards and optimize equipment performance. Collaboration with other team members and adherence to maintenance schedules are vital to the success in this role. 

 

Duties 

  1. Diagnosing mechanical issues: Utilizing expertise in mechanical systems, the Maintenance Mechanic will identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, conducting thorough inspections to pinpoint root causes of problems. 
  1. Performing routine maintenance: Execute scheduled maintenance tasks such as lubricating parts, replacing worn components, and adjusting machinery settings to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.

Food Service Production Operator

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Checks with the production supervisor and/or QC at start of shift to confirm batch recipe, and specifications.

2. Makes sure that the necessary materials (sugar, (and other ingredients to be used), scale, wash buckets, (and other tools), are clean and are at the work area.

3. Accurately measures ingredients to conform with the recipe.

4. Accurately records ingredient usage, lot information and control data.

5. Mixes ingredients and checks brix levels as mandated by formula.

6. Maintains slurry levels to ensure continuous supply to the Filler

7. Monitors equipment and materials and reports any problems to supervisor and/or QC and informs supply driver of shortage of materials before running out.

8. Turns off equipment as required at break(s), lunch and end of shift.

9. Makes slurry as required. At end of shift may be required to put excess slurry in drums.

10. Properly closes and stores ingredients containers at end of shift.

11. Returns records to supervisor at end of work shift.

12. Must have a working knowledge of business math; Addition, Subtraction, Fractions and Decimals.

Swing Shift Aseptic Production Operator

Sanitation Crew Member

The Sanitation Crew works collaboratively to clean and then sanitize manufacturing equipment and spaces in a factory/warehouse setting. Hand tools and air powered equipment are regularly utilized. In-house safety training is provided. Crew members work under the direction of the Sanitation Lead and Supervisor.

Primary Duties

1. Use tools & equipment safely and efficiently. (Hoses, sprayers, shovels, scrubbers, basic hand tools)

2. Wear proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as required for each task. PPE is provided by Oregon Fruit Company.

3. Remove accumulated build-up of product on equipment and floors using the correct color-coded tools and cleaning agents as trained.

4. Wash conveyor belts, pails, tubs, containers, walls, floors, etc.

5. Clean and sanitize other plant facilities (warehouse space, cooler, forklifts, water plant, walkways, etc.) as needed.

6. Use proper Lock-out Tag-out procedures wherever applicable.

7. Other duties related to Sanitation and Food Safety as needed.
